No. Audio, video, transcription, and captions are processed on your Mac. Some macOS-managed models may need internet access only for their first installation.

Which Macs are supported?

The initial version requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 26 or later.

Yes. AutoCaption creates standard Basic Titles, so text, duration, font, and position remain adjustable in the Inspector.
